Optimal Medical Therapy
In stable coronary artery disease, optimal medical therapy alone produces death and myocardial infarction outcomes comparable to adding percutaneous coronary intervention. Revascularization provides better and faster symptom relief, but not a mortality advantage over medical therapy in most stable patients.
